THE STRING FAMILY EPK

Overview

The String Family, Australian National Busking Champions (2015), started full time touring at the beginning of 2016. This quartet of high calibre musicians completed 120,000km, 36 months on the road and over 350 performances, and continue to give their audience quality music played with style and passion. All classically trained, a mixture of Classical Crossover and Celtic is combined with groovy beats and interwoven with their stories of full time life on the road. Often referred to as Australia’s own André Rieu, they bring the incredible versatility and tonal qualities of the classical violin and cello out of the orchestral context and to the people. You’ll catch them busking, performing at festivals, headlining shows or providing entertainment at corporate functions.

In 2019, they created a special show for one of Australia’s iconic tourist attractions, Paronella Park – located in Far North Queensland. This 6 month season saw 520 performances over 186 consecutive nights, played in front of the pleasure gardens main castle with the backdrop of a remote Far North Queensland rainforest to boot. Visitors from around the world were taken back not only by the unique experience that Paronella Park gives their guests, but by the night tour that finished up with a live musical performance synced to a light show, giving them an ethereal and moving night experience.

They are back in 2020 at Paronella Park for another season, with brand new shows and music. They hope to catch you at Paronella Park in 2020!
